Professor Dr. Alexander E. Dorosevich (MD, PhD, DSci), is the Director of Smolensk Regional Institute of Pathology and Head of Department of Pathological Anatomy of the Smolensk State Medical Academy.
Dr.
Dorosevich completed his MD with honors from Smolensk State Medical
Institute, in the year 1970, completed his residency in pathology
from Smolensk State Medical Institute. In the year 1974 he defended
his PhD thesis on Immunomorphology of Experimental Myocarditis in
Rabbits and D.Sci. thesis on Morphogenesis of Breast Cancer in the
year 1988. He was awarded the title of Professor and headed
Department of Pathological Anatomy of the Smolensk State Medical
Academy. In 1994 Prof. Dorosevich was appointed as the Director of
Smolensk Regional Institute of Pathology. Currently he is the Full
Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
His fields of scientific interest are oncomorphology, role of
microenvironment in development of inflammatory and neoplastic
processes, organization of pathological service, history of
medicine. Dr. Dorosevich has been actively involved in various
researches on neoplastic processes mainly focused on breast and
colorectal cancers funded by Russian Government Foundations. He has
over 200 publications and has been a key note speaker and member of
program scientific committee in various scientific conferences in
Russia. He is the editorial board member of several journals
including Eurasian Journal of Biomedical Sciences, Bulletin of
Smolensk Medical Academy and International Journal of Collaborative
Research on Internal Medicine & Public Health.
Professor Dr. Alexander Dorosevich is a
member of the International Advisory Board of the
IOMC 2010 Conference.
