Stella Brown

Journal of Psychological Abnormalities is inviting researchers around the globe to submit manuscript on upcoming special issue “Psychological Effects of Covid-19 in Different Countries” to express the psychological effect of their country. The advent of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak in the Chinese city of Wuhan, which was caused by extreme acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infections, triggered a worldwide socio-economic crisis and profound psychological distress. Various psychological disorders and significant mental health effects, such as stress, anxiety, depression, anger, and insecurity, arose gradually during the COVID-19 outbreak. The aim of this special issue is to conduct a thorough analysis of the existing literature on the effects of COVID-19 infection on mental health in the general population. The psychological effect of COVID-19 infection quarantine has also been noted, as well as the most important psychological reactions in the general population in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak. The role of risk and protective factors in the development of psychiatric disorders in vulnerable people can also be discussed. Although for most people COVID-19 causes only mild illness, it can make some people very ill. And in some cases the disease can be fatal. Older people and those with preexisting medical conditions (such as high blood pressure, heart problems or diabetes) appear to be more vulnerable. So let us share our knowledge. Our journal is trying to spread more and more knowledge about covid-19 as well as motivate covid-19 warriors to believe they are braver than they believe
