Analisis de un Programa de Intervencion Fisico-Rehabilitadora Estandarizada (Ifre) en Medio Acuatico en Mujeres con Fibromialgia

Abstract

Cinco millones de personas en el Mundo padecen fibromialgia (FM). Muchos autores realizan estudios de intervención clínica para paliar la sintomatología del dolor que se hace patente de manera crónica en la vida de las personas. El presente estudio tiene por objeto realizar un programa de intervención físico rehabilitadora estandarizada (IFRE) en el medio acuático dirigido a pacientes con FM para poder paliar la sensación de dolor. Treinta y siete mujeres españolas mayores entre 30 y 59 años fueron las participantes de este estudio. Se ha realizado un programa de IFRE durante 20 semanas (50 minutos cada sesión y 2 sesiones cada semana, dejando dos días de recuperación entre ambas sesiones para evitar fatiga muscular). Los resultados del programa muestran una mejora de las diversas variables estudiadas como dolor autopercibido, fatiga percibida, sintomatología depresiva e impacto global de la FM (P<0.05), siendo similares los resultados de capacidad aeróbica.
