Hugo Antonio Laviada Molina

Dr. Laviada studied at the Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico where he completed his degree in Medicine. Thereafter he obtained his Masters in Medical Science from Sheffield University.
He is a member of the Mexican Endocrinology and Nutrition Society and was the President of the peninsular section. He is also a member of the Mexican Society for Pediatric Endocrinology; Operative coordinator of the National Obesity Consensus for the Mexican Health Fund; member of the North American Association for the Study of Obesity (NAASO) and member of the Latin American Diabetes Association.
He was the Director of the Human Nutrition and Metabolic Disorders department at the Autonomous University of Yucatan and full time professor and researcher of said institution. He also served as the Senator of the Republic representing Yucatan and was a member of the Senate Health Commission.
Currently, he is a research professor at the Marista Univerity of Merida. He is also responsible of the program: Nourish and move your life! within the physical education and nourishment orientation of the UADY FUNSALUD- AZUCORAZON segment.
