Biography

Adel (www.adelagina.net) holds a (BSc) in computer programming and an MSc in Telematics Application in Education and Training (TAET). Currently, he is finishing his PhD in Technical and Professional Communications (Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, Department of Communication Studies). University of Twente, Netherlands. Adel’s main interest is to explore the effect of computer, as a nonhuman external regulation, on children’s development with novel entertainment software applications. Adel’s main focuses involved in his research are self-regulation, private speech, thinking aloud, and related issues mainly the effect of the video violent games on children’s development. Adel believes that “When the computer, per se, becomes fully conscious to detect, identify, and treat all the childrens developmental problems through childrens spontaneous responses during learning tasks and within a short time, then we can say we have a real nonhumans external regulator”.
