Biography

"Dr. Ebrahim Mostafavi is currently at Stanford Cardiovascular Institute, School of Medicine. His research interests revolve around the use of cardiac iPS cells to design and develop in vitro models for cardiovascular disease modeling and drug screening. Dr. Mostafavi received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (with a focus on Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine) from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. During his doctoral training, he received several prestigious awards. Dr. Mostafavi serves as an Associate Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Nanomedicine (IF= 5.115, 5-year IF= 5.166, Q1 Bioengineering). He also serves as a verified peer-reviewer (50+ documents) for over 18 different high-impact journals from prestigious publishers such as Nature, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Dove Press, PLOS, IOPscience, etc. His scholarly work consists of > 40 publications with an H-index of 17 (i10-index= 22) on Google Scholar Profile. He also contributed to 7 book chapters and was selected as the editor of a few books, including “Advances in Cardiovascular Biomaterials” and "Emerging Nanomaterials to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance."
