Hulya Aksoy

Hulya Aksoy was born in Erzurum, Turkey. She received her medical degree from the Ataturk University where she also completed a residency in Medical Biochemistry. She became an assistant professor in 1998, an associated professor in 2003, and professor in 2008. She is director of Emergency Laboratory in Biochemistry Department of Research Hospital. She has published more than 50 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of Turk J Med Sci and Eurasian J Med. Her main interest areas are biomarkers in oncology and preeclampsia, nephrolithiasis, oxidant and antioxidant status and complementary and alternative medicine, especially acupuncture. Aksoy's scientific works have been cited more than 600 times.
