Biography

Jeroen Declercq is a senior postdoc at the Laboratory of Biochemical Neuroendocrinology, department of Human Genetic, Catholic University Leuven, Belgium. He did his undergraduate work at the Catholic university of Leuven, where he obtained a master of Biochemistry. He completed a second Master of Immunology, signaling transduction and lymphomas at the University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France. He was a PhD student at the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology at the Catholic University of Leuven, doing doctoral work with Prof. Wim J.M. Van de Ven. He performed a first postdoctoral training in the Stem Cell Institute Leuven, under the guidance of Prof. Catherine Verfaillie. Currently he works on “Protein biosynthesis, maturation and traffic in the (regulated) secretory signaling pathway, related to human diseases” in the Laboratory of Prof. John. W.M Creemers.
