Biography

Dr.Kerstin Rolfe started her career as a nurse moving into medical research by running a number of clinical research projects. During this time she undertook a part time degree in Biological Sciences through the University of London and moved from the bedside into the laboratory. Dr.Rolfe was awarded a Scholarship through the University of London to undertake a PhD at The Royal Free Hospital, which she was awarded in 2002.In 2009 she was awarded a LLM In Medical Law and Ethics from De Montfort University. Dr.Rolfe started her post-doctoral career at the RAFT Institute. Dr.Rolfe is now one of the senior research members in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Royal Free Hospital, London. Her research is studying why some human tissues can heal wounds with perfect regeneration.Kerstin was awarded an Honorary Lectureship at UCL in 2004 and her work has produced a number of papers.
