Biography

Dr Maged Naguib graduated from the faculty of medicine Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1983. He completed his residency in the Military Medical Academy in Cairo. In 1987 he obtained a Master degree in Otolaryngology. In 1990 he was granted a one-year research fellowship in Baylor College of Medicine, the Bobby Alford Department of Otolaryngology, Houston, Texas. Dr Naguib obtained his Doctorate degree in otolaryngology from Ain Shams University in 1992. Dr Naguib did a fellowship training in otology, neurotology and skull base surgery in Piacenza, Italy during which he received an award for best research from the European Federation of Otolaryngologic Societies. Dr Naguib’s academic career started in 1995 when he joined the Department of Otolaryngology, Suez Canal University, Ismailia, Egypt as an Assistant Professor. Currently Dr Naguib is a professor of otolaryngology in Suez Canal University, Ismailia Egypt and Dammam University, Dammam, KSA.

Research Interest

Dr Naguib main areas of interest are surgery of the ear, neurotology, facial nerve and skull base surgery. He is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research while his mail research interest include include otitis media, the facial nerve, skull base surgical approaches and the vestibular pathologies and rehabilitation.
