Shaman rajindrajith is a paediatric gastroenterologist and a university lecturer in paediatrics from Sri Lanka. His main research activities include functional gastrointestinal diseases in children and adolescents and their relationship to psychological stress. Some of his published work has shown the clear association of school and home related stressful situations leading to develop functional gastrointestinal diseases in children. In addition, as a gastroenterologist, I have conducted research in areas such as diarrhoea, non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases and inflammatory bowel diseases in children. His clinical work include gastroenterology and general paediatrics, upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and training undergraduates and postgraduates in Sri Lanka.
