Dr Stephen Lo is a consultant ENT Surgeon and the Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery Service appointed to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore Medical School. He undertook his otorhinolaryngology-head & neck surgery training in London. His subspecialist interest is in Facial Plastic Surgery and Rhinology, having undertaken the prestigious one year European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) fellowship, and obtained a Doctorate of Medicine degree (London) in rhinology research. Dr Lo’s clinical interests include all aspects of functional and aesthetic facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, in particular functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation and palsy reanimation, facial reconstruction following trauma (fracture, laceration) or skin tumour removal, as well as office-based aesthetic procedures. His main research interest is in tissue engineering and facial implants, and nasal disorders. He referees peer review papers on facial plastic surgery and rhinology for several scientific journals. He is author of over 110 publications and 230 scientific paper presentations. Locally, he is Associate Program Director, facial plastic module lead, as well as clinical scientist mentor of the Singapore National Healthcare Group ENT residency training program. He is a member of the National Domain Specific Review Board. Internationally, he is a founding director of the Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, committee members of the ASEAN Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Asia Facial Plastic Surgery Society. Overall, he is committee and teaching faculty of more than 30 academic bodies, societies, courses and conferences relating to his specialty, among which he is founding director of the annual Singapore Facial Plastic Surgery Course jointly held under the auspices of the College of Surgeons & Society of Otolaryngology Singapore.
