Biography

I am Yingfang Tian, an associate professor in College of Life Sciences, Shaanxi Normal University, China. I am working on the mechanism of progranulin on neurodevelopment in autism and neurogenesis after stroke injury.
After I got my PhD degree in neuroscience in Medical School, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, I had an postdoctral training in Dr. Sharp Lab at University of California, USA from 2008 to 2011.We were the first to use exon arrays for neurological diagnoses of multiple sclerosis and Tourette, we could demonstrate that expression of specific exons in blood can discriminate multiple sclerosis /Tourette from matched healthy control subjects. We had worked on that gene expression levels associated with the neurological behaves such as tics severity, or ADHD symptoms. We had worked on gender-associated gene expression in blood of the stroke patients, we demonstrated that gender had an effect on gene expression in peripheral blood of stroke patients.
