He is an Associate Professor and Surgeon in the department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery in Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has obtained MBBS of Medicine and Surgery in 1994 from University Malaya and Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery from USM in 2002. He held a number of professional posts in the national level over the years. He was also on the editorial board of several international medical journals. He has published and presented in many scientific papers, both at the national and international level. He has been actively involved in services to many international professional communities as invited speakers and presenters. To date, he has organized more than 30 conferences with roles and responsibilities from organizing committee to organizing chairperson. He has contributed significantly to the successes of symposiums and workshops in USM and Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists-Head and Neck Surgeons (MSO-HNS) Meetings.
