Biography
Dr. Pablo Méndez-Lázaro is an Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus, Department of Environmental Health. He holds degrees in Geography, Marine Sciences and Environmental Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, University of Cadiz (Spain) and University of Salamanca (Spain), Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. He has been a research assistant the Hispano-Luso Centre of Agricultural Research of the University of Salamanca with the Water Resources Research Group (HIDRUS). His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.àHis research interests as an Assistant Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.àHe serves as a member of various federal, state and international agencies; including Junta de Castilla y León (Spain), National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), US Forest Service and National Weather Service, where he developed research focused on hydrology, hydro-climatic analysis, coastal areas and watersheds.
Research Interest
GIS, hydrology, marine sciences and climate change, aquatic environment, coastal zone management and water pollution, hydro-climatic analysis, coastal areas and watersheds.
