Biography

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery, he completed his General Surgery Residency and is currently completing his last year at his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency Program, all at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in Brazil. He is currently chief-resident at the Plastic Surgery Area of Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Since Medical School he was interested in the surgical field, having participated in numerous surgical activities, both academic and practical in Brazil and abroad (Sweden, Germany, Portugal, USA), and has always valued a multi-centric formation in order to broaden his views, thus perfecting his individualized personal approach to culturally-diversified patients. Among the many skills acquired during his studies, he attended as follow: • Widcombe Elementary School at Bath (United Kingdom), where he was alphabetized in English as a child, • The Pediatric Surgery Department at Astrid Lindgrens Childrens Hospital at the Karolinska Institutet (Sweden), participating in clinical rotations and on-site operations mostly in general and urologic pediatric surgery, • The Hand, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department at LMU München University (Germany), participating in clinical rotations and on-site operations mostly in hand surgery, microsurgery and aesthetic surgeries, • The Nova Universidade de Lisboa at Lisbon (Portugal), having achieved the Master of Medicine degree, • The Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital in New York City (USA), having participated in clinical rotations and as an observer to Dr. Sherrell J. Aston M.D., worldwide renowned plastic surgeon, especially in aesthetic facial surgery, • The Daniel C. Baker Private Clinic in New York City (USA), having participated as an observer to all clinical and surgical activities conducted by Dr. Daniel C. Baker M.D., one of the world’s foremost experts in aesthetic facial plastic surgery, and Steven Levine M.D., prominent young surgeon in the USA.
