Before infertility testing, healthcare team & sexologists should strive to understand the sexual habits: of both men & women also of adolescent boys & girls: including those who get involved with sexual acts, both the institution of marriage, and outside: in India (where the author of this work is currently located, it is known as live in relationship). It is of utmost importance to remember that the involved treating sex therapists make recommendations in order to improve chances of women to get pregnant. In some infertile couples, no clear cause is found. That is called unexplained infertility. Infertility testing can involve uncomfortable procedures. It can be expensive too. And some medical plans may not cover the cost of fertility treatment. Also, there is no guarantee that you'll get pregnant even after all the testing and counselling. It is important to remember for practicing sexologists & both men & women that diagnosis envisages a comprehensive evaluation of both male and female partners, including (a) semen analysis, (b) ovulation testing, and (c) imaging of reproductive organs. Analysis of published research data indicates that the treatment options range from lifestyle modifications and medications to surgical procedures and assisted reproductive technologies like IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). The author of this research argues that it is important to investigate into scientific diagnosis and treatment of infertility with focus on (1) understanding the causes of infertility, (2) developing accurate diagnostic tools, and (3) improving treatment options. This brief research work primarily aims to investigate into diagnosis and treatment infertility: both among "men & women". Method of analysis of data (qualitative) is descriptive. The paper briefly concludes that infertility testing can involve uncomfortable procedures, but with desired success.
Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra is an Researcher (Scholar) and retired professional from the Population Education Resource Centre, Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension, S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai, India. Trained in demography under a Government of India Fellowship (1986â??1987), he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Patna in 1999. He also holds a Post-Master's Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education, a Certificate in Hospital and Health Care Management, and a Diploma in Human Resource Development. His research interests span demography, sustainable development, health, and related fields. Dr. Mishra has an impressive academic record, having authored or co-authored 6 booklets, 4 books, 32 book chapters, 111 journal articles, 2 monographs, 7 research studies, and 126 conference papers (some with bursary support). He has received multiple recognitions, including the Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing (2017, 2018, 2021, 2022) and the Excellence of Research Award in 2021 for outstanding contribution to agriculture.
