Chukwunonso E.C.C.Ejike earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2010 and had his postdoctoral training at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada (2012-2013). In 2015, he spent three months at the Universitats des Saarlandes, Saarbrucken, Germany on a TWAS/DFG fellowship. His research interest is principally the epidemiology of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and prostatic diseases. Dr Ejike has won several grants to support his research. To his credit are more than seventy papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and several presentations at scientific conferences around the world. He is currently ranked in the top 150 scholars in Nigeria. Dr Ejike’s passion for people-oriented activism, nurtured during his days as Speaker of the Students’ Union House of Representatives at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2000-2001), has not been attenuated by his avid interest in scientific research; in fact the latter has enlivened the former. Dr Ejike has been a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State since July 2015.
His research interest is principally the epidemiology of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and prostatic diseases.
