Ena Ray Banerjee works as faculty at Department of Zoology Immunology and Regenerative Medicine Research Laboratory, University of Calcutta. She is awarded with Ph.D and M.Sc in Molecular biology. Her current research programmes include Developing preclinical models of tissue specific and systemic inflammatory diseases for drug discovery, Developing a novel platform technology for generating immunotherapeutic molecules, Developing cell based therapy for degenerative lung diseases.
Research interest in basic biology also includes studies on molecular regulation of hematopoiesis, leukocyte homing and memory, Areas of core competence are Inflammation Biology with particular emphasis on studies in Asthma, Allergy and lung diseases like COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases) and IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) as well as Stem cell and Regenerative Medicine.
