Biography

Dr. Dai Lu has received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Medicinal Chemistry from University of Connecticut during the period of 2005. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Irma Lerma Rangel college of Pharmacy, USA. He has served as a Senior Chemist, Center for Neurologic Disease, Brigham and Women’s Hospital & Harvard Medical School during the period of 2006-2011 and Instructor of Neurology, Harvard Medical School from 2007-2011.

Research Interest

Dr. Lu’s lab is focused on discovery of novel small-molecule drug entities and protein/polymer-based nanomedicine for cancer and protein-misfolding related disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson's disease and type II diabetes etc. The therapeutic targets for pertaining research projects include microtubule, protein kinases, cannabinoid receptors, acetylcholinesterase, and certain amyloidal proteins.
